‘Choices’ by Saptarshi Bhowmick

World cloistered around choices.

Even when they are random,

The results counteract one’s fate.

Once someone stumbles upon his path,

Choices get the first chance to provide relief.

Like a Robinhood, in a city of poverty,

It waits to determine justice.

The nonchalant persona looms with

Great uncertainty-

Its characteristics unclaimed, motif desperate

Proclaims the age-old belief of destiny.

Be it positive or negative in sense

Somehow choices find a neutral subsidy.

Polishing, tugging, they bring certain

Consequences that sustain joy and sorrow equally.

But there is a minor problem with choices!

It depends on the person that makes them.

Though strong, a resolute soul often selects

Weak choices and that throw them

In an unrecovered state.
