‘Time to Travel’ by Antje Bothin

Today is the day
Yes, we go away
The journey is planned
The suitcases at hand

It is a long drive
But we will survive
Lots of food in the car
Also toilets are not far

All through one country
As fast as a rocket
But another makes us quite slow
Traffic jams in a big city

On it goes to the next place
And we fill up with fuel
A short stop to eat a bit
And there we are at the sea

We can take the ferry or the comfy train
It is our choice but no matter how
Our bed is waiting somewhere
And we will get there

The next day, we drive on
Long or short distance
The roads are busy
But finally, we arrive
