Submissions for Issue 10 are going to open on February 1st, 2026 and we think everyone should know this before submitting to The Hemlock Journal.

With Issue 09, The Hemlock Journal chose to alter this encounter. We introduced Expedited Review with Editorial Commentary, not as a privilege, but as a responsibility. The aim was to ensure that writers who sought an earlier response also received something more enduring than speed: clarity. The response from Issue 09 submitters was overwhelming.
