Meet Your Mentor: Asha Ponnachan

Asha (she/her) is a multifaceted artist whose career spans international stages and literary fame. A trained Indian classical dancer and bestselling author, she has written scripts for stage and screen and directed both plays and documentaries.Having lived and worked globally before settling in Canada, Asha draws on a rich diversity of international experiences in her art. In addition to founding a literary arts organization in 2025, she serves as an arts manager and champions the benefits of art for mental and emotional health.
