Now, we can finally tell the story of The Hemlock Journal‘s Print Run.

A little over a year ago, we made a decision that would change our fate: to move from Digital Only to Print & Digital.

It was a leap into the unknown!

Finding publishers, securing the right platforms to sell and promote our books, designing print editions, bearing the printing costs, and wondering whether anyone would actually buy them — every step came with its own challenge.

We took the challenge and everyone loved!

Our last five seasonal issues from Issue 07 to Issue 11, two special issues Call of the Wild and Still I Rise and two annual anthologies came out in both Print and Digital formats

These issues featured 400+ writers, poets and artists from 80+ countries!

We received praise for not only the content we published but our minimalistic interior design of the issue and captivating vibrant covers.

That one decision changed everything. More people began to trust us with their work. More authors submitted. More writers found a home in our pages. Our membership grew, and more authors received the editorial feedback from us. What began as a challenge has become a legacy we are proud to carry forward. And we believe this journey should never end.
