The Hemlock Journal is delighted to announce that submissions for Issue 11 are going to open on June 1st, which will be published worldwide in print, digital, and eBook editions. 

We invite poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and visual artists from around the globe to share their work with our international readership.

Contributor Payment and Publication

Print Edition Contributors :

Contributors selected for the print edition will receive:

• $15 USD / ₹1,200 INR honorarium for all writers and poets featured in the issue
• $15 USD / ₹1,200 INR for the front cover art
• A complimentary digital copy of Issue 11 for all the contributors of the print issue

Digital Edition Contributors :

Contributors selected for the digital/eBook edition will receive:

• A full refund of the submission fee to all contributors
• Publication in the digital/eBook edition of Issue 11

Submission Fee

A submission fee of $3 USD/ ₹250 INR per submission applies to all categories.

Some Important Changes in Submission Guidelines

Poetry :

• Maximum of 3 poems per poet are allowed
• Submission fee applies per poem

Fiction and Creative Nonfiction :

• Maximum of 2 piece per writer
• Submission fee applies per piece

Artwork/Photography :

• Maximum of 3 artworks/ photographs per artist
• submission fee applies per artist/photographer (not per artwork or photograph)

Issue 11 will be distributed internationally through:
